Obon Holiday -

Obon or just Bon also referred to as "Day of the Dead" is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of our ancestors.

This Buddhist custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday. People return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars.

However I spent my Obon holiday in Jozankei, Sapporo. It is about 30mins drive from Sapporo down town, and famous for Onsen (Hot Springs).
There is a river called Toyohiragawa and Mountain called Sapporodake and that's where I spent the most of my time....

On the way to the peark. They were full of life, and made me stop and think...

Spider webs are amazing!

Strainer? There were not much water on the river....

Sapporo city from the peak!

1293m

I love watching the flow.....

There were so many mushrooms!!!
